Medicare EPC with Medicine in Motion

Medicare is the publicly funded universal health care system in Australia. Operated by the Department of Human Services, Medicare is the primary funder of health care in Australia, funding primary health care for Australian citizens and permanent residents.

All of Medicine in Motion Health Group’s Exercise Physiologists and physiotherapists are registered to provide services under Medicare.

Accredited Exercise Physiologists also work closely with you to help you recover from injuries and get back to work, sport and doing the things you love!

Benefits of Exercise Physiology & Inclusions

AEPs can provide treatment to patients with chronic conditions and complex care needs on referral from their regular GP as part of a Chronic Disease Management Plan via:

  • Individual allied health services
    Up to 5 individual sessions – Maximum 5 per calendar year
  • Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) group services
    Individual initial assessment plus 8 group sessions per calendar year
  • Follow up allied health services for Indigenous Australians
    Maximum 5 per calendar year – Can be additional to individual allied health sessions

Patients with a Chronic Disease Management Plan are eligible to claim rebates from Medicare for their Exercise Physiology treatment sessions.
